A great start to the swimming season with KGS defeating QEGS 110 points to 92.
In the first Swimming Gala of the season, KGS travelled to QEGS Blackburn to take on their mixed swim squad. The Junior team started well and it was lovely to see some of our new first year pupils representing the school. Martha Millar, Lily Yau and Jasmine Schofield made their mark in their individual races whilst Matthew Wright, George Watson and Grace Wong impressed in the upper end.
In the inter-age group Imogen Moss lead the way and was well supported by Kirsty Williams, Hugo Chan, Caity Preddy and Lucy Hollings. At the midway stage of the gala, KGS were narrowly leading but with double point relays to go it was all to play for!
Strength and depth of the KGS team certainly won through as they were victorious in five of the relay races. The inter-team finished the medley relay three seconds ahead of their rivals with the B team finishing closely behind.
