Kirkham Grammar School J2 pupils, dressed in costume, enjoyed a visit from 'Professor Tuesday' this morning as part of their Egyptian themed day. He spoke to the children about the Pharaohs and the children were shown the mummification process. The Egyptians used 'mummification' so that the skin and flesh of a corpse could be preserved. In the afternoon, the pupils made bread and were given the opportunity to have a go at mummifying a tomato! Well done, J2...you all looked amazing!
