Today, Kirkham Grammar School U11 boys took part in the St Mary’s College Rugby Sevens. Kirkham won all three of their group games v St Anselms College, St Mary’s College and Liverpool College. This set up a final v Merchant Taylors' who were also unbeaten. Kirkham played very well throughout the final and had the majority of possession but could not break the Merchant Taylors' defence. With minutes remaining Merchants moved the ball wide and scored the decisive try, winning by a single score. Congratulations to Merchants! Kirkham can however be very pleased with their performance today and throughout the season. Well done, boys! Thank you to St Mary's College for organising a very enjoyable tournament.
