Image of Upper School Speech Day

Last night, our Kirkham Grammar School Upper School Speech Day was held in the Summerlee Hall and saw pupils, parents and staff gather together for one of the highlights of the academic year. The evening began with our school hymn before a few words from our Chair of Governors, Mrs Lorraine Wareing. Mr Berry followed with his Headmaster's Report before the audience were entertained with a musical interlude of ‘Sweet Caroline’ from the very talented Concert Band. Old Kirkhamian, Mr Mark Wheatley then presented this year’s prizes and trophies before delivering an inspiring address. School Captains, Oliver Barnett and Koko Taylor, gave a vote of thanks before the evening ended with The National Anthem.
Afterwards parents, pupils and staff enjoyed refreshments in the dining room. Thank you to all of the parents and members of our wider school family who came along to join in celebrating our pupils' achievements!
