This morning, our new Infant Hockey Club for I2 and I3 pupils took place on the Astroturf at Kirkham Grammar Senior School. The session was led by Rebecca Worthington, Head Junior Coach at Garstang Hockey Club and a coach for Lancashire County Hockey. Rebecca holds a BA in Sports Coaching and an MSc in physical activity and mental health, alongside being nominated for Boots Woman of the Year!
The sessions aim to develop basic, grassroots hockey skills; whilst also supporting endurance, strength, balance, coordination, agility and social skills.
The infants thoroughly enjoyed the session which proved to be an invigorating start to the morning!
