Image of Fundraising for Ukrainian children

During their Junior and Infant School Council meetings, where they have pupil representatives from I2 through to J4, they have discussed how much they would like to support those children in Ukraine who are currently in significant need. They have therefore decided together that they would like to raise money for Save the Children.

Children make up around half of those who have fled the conflict in Ukraine thus far, with figures currently estimated at one million children. Around 7.5 million children in Ukraine are now in danger. Save the Children is focused on the needs and protection of these children, and is a member charity of the Disasters Emergency Committee; they provide urgent supplies including the distribution of food and water, shelter and medical care.

Should you wish to support our appeal to help the children of Ukraine, please note that donation buckets will be placed at the entrance points of Pre-School and the Junior and Infant building at the start and end of the day on Monday 14 March. We will also have a JustGiving page available from this date that you can donate to should you prefer; further details will follow in relation to this.

We hope that you will be able to support the School Council's idea to help those children less fortunate than ourselves.
