Despite a rather disjointed first half, the second half was much improved: totally solid at the back, composed in midfield and dynamic going forward. After the long break for the Second XI it was great to see the girls back out playing. The game started and was end to end; the defensive unit worked very well together in order to keep the score line at 0-0. Kirkham broke, after a follow up shot Natasha Hartley-Smith managed to score the first goal of the game.

Cheadle fought back and scored a short corner right before the half time whistle.

The second half started and although play was end to end, Cheadle scored their second goal of the game making it 2-1. With not long of the game left, Kirkham were eager to score and equalise - again Natasha Hartley-Smith managed to do so! The whole team worked hard in order to gain the final goal of the game.

Kirkham showed a good level of resilience and with perseverance Natasha Hartley-Smith managed to score the first goal of the game. U13 v Cheadle Hulme

The U13s lost a tight match 1-0 to Cheadle Hulme. The first half was very even with both sides creating chances. Anya Jackson made some excellent saves in goal to keep Cheadle at bay. At the other end of the pitch, Jess Cole, Hennie Thompson, Alicia Threlfall and Rachel Watson caused the Cheadle defence problems without finding a clinical finish. The game gradually became more and more stretched with more space opening up in midfield; Cheadle capitalising on the extra freedom in midfield to work the ball through the KGS defence to score the only goal.
